Hooked to my jackary 1000. Whisper quiet fast cool. Excellent choice for my minivan camper.
I had a cheaper and smaller fridge made by this company that didn’t quite meet my expectations. I had issues with temperature regulation on the smaller one. I decided to give it one more shot with this bigger 56qt one. It is a true dual-zone fridge/freezer. The right side is the freezer and the left side is the fridge. The temperature probe is much more accurate and responsive. Putting a bottle of warm water in the fridge immediately increases the temperature on the display and starts the compressor. The display on this one dims down when you’ve not touched the buttons. This is great if it’s near a sleeping area.If you’re thinking about one of these chest-fridges for an RV or any permanent installation where food safety is important, don’t get the cheaper versions, it’s not worth the stress of hoping your food is still okay. This is the one you want. A bit more expensive but there’s usually coupons. If I have any issues I will update this but so far it’s great.
I purchased the C9PT Mini Portable Freezer, 12 Volt Car Refrigerator. The first one I received malfunctioned. It was slow to decrease the temperature and it stalled at 40°F although it was on overnight. 's customer service swiftly rectified the situation and sent a replacement refrigerator. Although the C9PT is small, it does supply portable refrigeration to meet your food, drink, or medication needs. The refrigerator comes with an AC 100-240-volt outlet cord, a 12/24-volt cord, and instructions. The cords are approximately 6 feet. I did not measure them. The instructions are easy to follow. The control panel is well-lit with four easy-to-push control buttons. The power cord is plugged in below the control panel. This side of the refrigerator is well-vented on three sides. The refrigerator is CFC-free with heat insulation. It cools to -4°F based on 77°F room temperature; therefore, it varies. There is a temperature memory function and a three-stage intelligent battery protection system. The instructions are clear as to which battery protection mode to select.I plugged the refrigerator into the Bluetti EB3A power station using the 12-volt cord provided. It can also be powered by an automobile 12-volt/24-volt. Using the Bluetti, with the refrigerator set on ECO mode, the power station used 25 watts to maintain the temperature. To maintain the desired temperature the compressor would come on for about three to five minutes and shut off for approximately twenty minutes. The compressor sound is minimal. It's a noticeable hum but not overpowering. A small portable fan is louder. I was able to fall asleep with the refrigerator on and remain sleeping as it cycled on and off.The refrigerator's storage capacity is small but sufficient for one person. I fit four 16.9 ounce water bottles across the bottom of the refrigerator. The bottles were not able to fit in the upright position. The refrigerator is lightweight, easy to pick up, and easy to use in a vehicle or indoors. The refrigerator's lid closes snugly, tight, and securely keeping the cold inside. I have to use some elbow to break the suction to open it. There are no handles on the C9PT. I purchased an insulated carry bag with a shoulder strap for convenience and greater insulation in hot weather. The price for the refrigerator is extremely reasonable for a small compression refrigerator. It took about twenty minutes from plug-in to a cooldown of 36°F. My test was indoors on an Autumn day. My indoor temperature was approximately 78°F. I further tested the refrigerator by setting it down to the lowest temperature of -4°F. That required an additional fifteen minutes approximately. The refrigerator was empty during my testing. The refrigerator arrives well-packaged indicating - this side up. There is an outer box. The C9PT is located inside an additional box housed snugly in an upper and lower styrofoam cast. A clear plastic loosely cover the refrigerator. The cords and instructions are in a box located inside the refrigerators cooling cavity. As I use the refrigerator I will update my review.
Great portable cooler, had for 4 months now works like a charm. Perfect for road trips always have cold drinks on hand. Will be essential if power goes out as ice is hard to come by. Going to purchase another 2 for food storage. Highly recommend, I’m also careful not to drop the lid as some reviews said latch could break.
