I had a problem with the dehumidifier and customer service was very helpful in getting me a new dehumidifier.
After one week of operation, the results have been exceptional! As indicated in the pictures, I have been monitoring temperature and humidity in our crawl space since early spring. During June and July, humidity ranged between 75% and 85%. Although it was difficult to spend this much on a dehumidifier, the product has performed exceptionally well. Concerned about vibration noise, I suspended the platform to the floor joists using metal straps. The unit isn't noisy at all and there is no operating noise in the house. After turning the unit on and setting to 55%, It took only a few hours to reduce the humidity from 76 to 55%. (Pictures attached). Based on one week of operation, I highly recommend this unit.
I live near a river and have a very damp basement. I was frustrated that typical dehumidifiers I bought at the store only lasted a couple of years, so I thought I'd try this one. I've only had it a year so far, but love how quickly it takes the humidity out of the air compared to the cheaper $250 units I'd bought in the past from a local store.I recently had a problem with the dehumidifier lowering the humidity to the level I set, and then it would shut down and not start up again when the humidity went back up. I contacted customer service, and within days I had a replacement part sent to me for free, along with a link to a video that showed me exactly what to do to install the new part. Things are working great again. Although it was frustrating that something went wrong in only a year, the fix couldn't have been easier.
Bought as my Honeywell died after 5 years. Wanted to make fit my system, but works in short run at significant price difference. Unfortunately almost all Honeywell and similar products have the same internal components as I tried to fix and had a bad fan capacitor. Fixed but was more and stopped repairing. Figure K can replace with at least three of these for $ of 1 of the other.
We are the owner of a mold and Restoration company and found that the alor air is great option for our customers. I have ordered about 15 of these units and so far had problems with one buy customer service was right on it! They answered their phone with a real human being and we're very responsive and we are very happy with the results. I would highly recommend these units!
