Best money I have spent this year

I live in a 1900 sq ft ranch home that is nearly 60 year old. As consistent with the age, it is cut up into tiny rooms. The space for the refrigerator is small and across the room from the sink. The firs thing that happened when I moved in was the line busted in the ceiling. I had it taken out, so no auto ice maker. I never minded using ice trays until the ice trays started busting after two weeks. A friend of mine bought one of these ice makers. So...I decided to try it.I would marry this thing and have its babies if I could. I am the queen of countertop appliances and this is the best investment I have made this year. I have more space in my freezer. I go through a good deal of ice throughout the day. Yes, the ice cubes are small. I love them. Those of you who are complaining about them melting - the icemaker ISN'T A FREEZER. Get a freezer bag and put them in THE FREEZER. SERIOUSLY? I really think people need to review how ice occurs and its properties. I am alarmed by some of the things I see on here. Also, while the ice isn't shaved, it is ""soft"" and is great for making smoothies in your small blender!
