I wired it to a 40 amp plug and installed it in my basement.

My house is a huge 3 story house with a basement it was 33 degrees last night and it warmed the basement up to 70 degrees and warmed my whole house. To a comfortable temperature. I am impressed.

Worked for 2 winters then overheat light came on. Now it won't come on.

Quit working after 2 years. Fine up until then. 60T11 thermostat for $8 on .

Received a USED heater

The unit I received had been previously installed to the point that an access hole for the wiring had been knocked out and a strain relief connector had been added. The knock out was on the opposite side from where I wanted to run my wire, so I considered it damaged and returned it. The unit seemed sturdy and well built. The instructions were clear and seemed pretty straight forward. I have no idea whether the heater worked or not but since someone else went to the trouble of installing/Deinstalling/Returning I didn't want to take the chance.

I put this on one end of my two car garage as I turned it into a wood shop. Today it was pouring rain and cold Oct 4, I turned this on and within about 3 minutes it went from 54° to 62° and within 5 minutes it went to 67° and I could feel the heat all the way across my garage. My garage is a 24+24 not very big but also not very insulated. I know this heater is over kill for this space as my ceiling is also only about 12ft at its peak. I purchased the over kill as I do not like being cold. So I have high hopes for this in the winter. Off to the back side of it I hung a 20" 3 speed fan to blow the heat. Both fan and heater is relatively quiet and I forget that it is even on except the wonderful heat it puts out.
