Unhappy customer I purchased the Sims nugget icemaker through walmart.com. I had it less than six months. It started screeching and sounding like the ball bearings were going out. I called walmart.com. They told me I had to have them credit card that I used to purchase the icemaker in which I had to close that account because I no longer have the credit card they said that they would contact me and let me use another credit card never got contacted today. I call and they give me an international phone number for Sims life to get it either repaired or replaced through them this has been the most ridiculous purchase I ever made. I canโt believe Walmart and or Sims wonโt take care of this. I want an icemaker that works. I paid over $200 with shipping and handling to get this icemaker and now all it does is squawk and reached so loud and I clean it on a daily basis, but nothing seems to help. I would like to find out what sims life is going to do about this.

The ice maker worked great and loved how fast the ice was made but in July 2025 the machine stopped making ice. I contacted company via email as it stated when bought it had a 1 year warranty with normal use, no response AT ALL! We restarted the machine and waited and cleaned and nothing, we noticed the rotator where it spins to drop ice wasnโt moving, but the machine was cold. For the price we paid and for it not to last 1 year I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL! Even worse when the company or customer service canโt respond! Save your money for a better item.

I contacted the producer through and their customer service is exceptional, responding quickly and providing a solution. When I indicated that I could not change the water pump and would prefer to change the entire machine, they immediately agreed to the change. Today I received the new machine, tomorrow the installation will proceed. This machine fits perfectly on our counter and does not make much noise. I'm looking forward to using it.

My first impressions of this ice maker are very good, despite some previous concerns due to mixed reviews online. The machine is bulky and takes up a lot of space, but it produces ice cubes at a satisfactory speed, and can be placed on ice in about 10 to 15 minutes. Although ice is somewhat moist and can clump when refrigerated, this is solved with a single touch. Large ice cubes are easier to handle. All in all, I think the machine is worth the money.

After months of waiting, I finally got it up and running. After the initial coolness, I realized it was much more painful than I thought. Of all the reviews I ignored, I am now one of them. It is heavy and difficult to clean, and it is very noisy. The worst of all is that it has been carried out in an absolutely incredible way. After a year, it broke. The continuous error at first I could bear, but now it doesn't work at all. It cannot absorb water and closes frequently, so the small blocks of ice it produces also melt quickly. I spent a lot of time searching for help on customer service, support, walmart, but nothing worked. Now it's forgotten in the corner, covered in dust, and will stay there until I accept the fact that I wasted almost $600 and will end up throwing it away. save your money and get anything else.

Making ice blocks is suitable for certain occasions, although it depends on personal preference. The speed and duration of ice production of the machine are satisfactory. Just add water regularly. It is designed to accommodate the need to replenish ice cubes frequently. It can not only cope with family gatherings, but also be an effective addition to the home refrigerator. However, the long start-up time and the need to remove the ice cube when adding water makes it somewhat inconvenient to use. Despite these small issues, it is still an excellent device with reliable performance and consistent ice production. It is perfect for bar parties and can meet the needs of a large number of drinks. Several cheap ice machines have been used before, but this expensive one is really different. The effect is remarkable. The ice grains produced are moderately soft and hard. Very satisfied. The funnel design is very practical, easy to pour, and the ice output speed is fast and the quantity is sufficient. Although the water tank is a little big, it can make ice automatically with just one addition of water, very convenient. Definitely worth the money. Highly recommended.

The device has not been in use for four years. I cleaned it according to the maintenance manual schedule. But the thrift store was only willing to collect distilled water, as a result, it closed in the third or fourth year. It is too expensive to repair to last any longer.

The ice machine received lacked ice basket and scoop and I was a little disappointed. However, I use the internal glassware basket to collect ice cubes. Together with the metal slot spoon, it can also solve the problem. Ice machines produce good quality ice cubes, but they cannot be frozen continuously if they are not running. The effect of this ice cube making machine is amazing. It takes just a moment to fill one or two cups of ice from the reservoir. And when I need more ice cubes, the boxes fill up quickly again. Of course, it will work with a little noise, but within acceptable limits. The only downside is that the cleaning process can be a little tedious if you need to move it near the sink to drain, since our equipment is installed in a drier bar area.

It's a great gift and I really like it. Excellent effect. However, after about six months, there were problems with the control panel. However, it can still cool. But now, seven months later, it's starting to make a terrible noise. For safety reasons, I had to turn off the electricity. I was very disappointed because it was the best ice cream machine. I contacted customer service and they agreed to send me a replacement. I can't wait to enjoy delicious ice cream again.

The product instructions clearly indicate that it is necessary to start a cleaning cycle before use. There's even a sticker on the device indicating this, but it's surprising that there's no corresponding button to do it. The instructions don't explain this either. I have only used it to make ice a couple of times. When using, remove ice first. The ice melts quickly and sticks. I would have liked to use it every day to make ice, but it's so annoying. Furthermore, this device works with a lot of noise. However, it is perfect for parties and makes ice very quickly. Maybe you can get into the habit of turning it on every morning and enjoying the ice before going to work. We hope it changes.

The ice machine worked fine at first, but then it started making loud noises like it was breaking down. Despite the cleaning recommended by several manufacturers, the problem continues. Reflecting the situation and attaching a video of the painful operation to GE, but the only response received was the suggestion to use only distilled water. Need to know that the warranty is only five years, it is said that the machine cannot be repaired, it only provides refund or replacement. The current cost of $100 per month is not bad, but the machine has stopped working properly. If GE responds, the assessment will be updated in due course.

How do you really evaluate something when most of the projects are handed to you? With this in mind, these are my observations. ***Aside from the issues noted in this review, I am very satisfied with the Simzlife Nugget Ice Maker. The "drawbacks" I noted below are very minor. I highly recommend this product to my friends, family and you (an Walmart customer). I think it is above average compared to ice machines from other manufacturers. If it weren't for these small problems, I would probably give it 5 stars. I really like owning and using this ice maker. My bullet ice maker is 3 years old and cannot be cleaned or sanitized properly. Mold is so ingrained that it cannot be completely removed with diluted bleach or systematic rinsing. Please note that your ice maker should be cleaned and disinfected once a month. This al dente โSimzlifeโ ice cream is the best, though! This ice maker can make ice making quickly. The only "drawbacks" I can think of are: 1) you can design ice blocks to fall into the basket in different ways. What happens here is that it only falls to the right of the basket. The ice extends to the right side to a certain point and then continues to accumulate on the right side. When it accumulates, the optical sensor detects that it is full and stops making ice. I open the transparent lid and push the ice to the left with a spoon. The sensors lose tracking of the ice stack and the machine returns to making ice. 2) when it comes to spoons, I don't like the design of the spoon rest. I've never used the top cap to fill water, so I just put it on top of the device. I use ice under the lower storage area. 3) above the lower water storage unit. Water does not easily enter the lower unit. The basket has a hole designed to pour water into the machine without having to remove the basket. The water turned out to be too small to pour the water in this way. Yes, but usually you just have to remove the basket and pour the water into the storage. There is a line and the words "fill to mark." I use bottled distilled water and recommend it. It has a clean taste, does not form mineral deposits and does not need to be "desalted" with vinegar.

The used Opal 1 ice maker we purchased left us very satisfied with its ice making effect. We have been taking care of the maintenance, using only pure water, but the malfunction after three months. The shop noted that the compressor was damaged and recommended its replacement. So we upgraded to Opal 2 and still love ice. This switch to distilled water reduces cleaning frequency. However, after a month, the machine started to sound strange, like there were loose parts. Although it continued to operate for another three months, the noise increased and it had to be closed during meals. Last week, the ice maker suddenly made a high-pitched sound, like a car emergency stop, and then went into defrosting mode. From then on, it worked intermittently, first defrosting and then making ice, while the water spun for a few minutes and then beeped. Fortunately, the vibrating sound disappeared, but the ice-making function was undone. I am disappointed with the brand, the life expectancy is too short! Update: The tailgate opens and a fault is found in the gearbox motor that engages the auger. It is not clear if the motor or gear is a problem. I replaced the motor with the old Opal 1, which now makes ice and is quiet again. Update #2: The replacement drill motor has been working fine for a year. Three months ago, only the water pumps needed replacing, which was cheap and easy. We use reverse osmosis water and are very happy with the ice made.
